Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) in Griffin, GA is seeking a DOT inspection certified tanker mechanic with 3–5 years of tanker repair experience. You will diagnose, repair, and service tank trailers, ensuring compliance with DOT standards and safety guidelines.

Typical shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, with pay range $18.00–$35.00 per hour based on experience. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• DOT inspection certified mechanics with 3–5 years tanker repair experience.
• Ability to diagnose failures and repair mechanical and electrical systems on tanker trailers.
• Experience with tank service, suspension work, and air brake systems; welding is a plus.

• Perform tank service and repair and trailer suspension installation and repair.

Tanker Mechanic

We are currently searching for DOT inspection certified mechanics with 3 to 5 years of tanker repair experience!

Shift Hours:

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Pay Range: $18.00 to $35.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.


• Tank service and repair


• Trailer suspension installation and repair


• Experience with air brake systems and repairs


• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)


• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds


• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds


• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole


• Must be able to work in confined spaces
