Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking DOT inspection certified mechanics to join our Meriden, CT facility. The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 1st shift.

Responsibilities include diagnosing failures and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on tank trailers; performing tank service, suspension work, and air brake repairs. TIG welding is optional; expect pay from $22.00 to $42.00 per hour with regular reviews.

Qualifications

• DOT inspection certified mechanics with 3 to 5+ years of tank trailer repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical or other systems of tank trailers.
• Perform tank service and repair, suspension installation and repair.
• Work on air brake systems; TIG welding as optional.
• Inspect tanks and trailers to comply with DOT HM183 and hazmat standards.

We are currently searching for DOT inspection certified mechanics with 3 to 5+ years of tank trailer repair experience, to join our team in our Meriden, CT facility!

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday 1st shift

Pay Range: $22.00 to $42.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.


• Tank service and repair


• Trailer suspension installation and repair


• Experience with air brake systems and repairs


• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)


• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds


• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds


• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole


• Must be able to work in confined spaces
