Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking DOT registered inspector mechanics with 3+ years of tank trailer repair experience. The role involves diagnosing failures and performing repairs on mechanical, electrical, or other systems on tank trailers, with focus on DOT HM183 compliance.

Shift Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Pay ranges from $22.00 to $36.00 per hour, dependent on experience, with skill-based pay reviews every 6 months.

Qualifications

• DOT registered inspector mechanics with 3+ years of tank trailer repair experience.
• Ability to diagnose failures and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical or other systems on a tank trailer.
• Experience with tank service and repair, Betts valves, gaskets; trailer suspension installation and repair.
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs; welding (TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon).
• Ability to inspect tanks and trailers for DOT HM183 compliance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, or other systems on tank trailers.
• Repair tank services, valves, gaskets, and trailer suspension.
• Work on air brake systems and perform welding tasks as needed.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and maintain safety practices while inspecting equipment.

We are currently searching for DOT registered inspector mechanics with 3+ years of tank trailer repair experience!

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair, Betts valves, gaskets
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• Ability to use handheld diagnostic tools, tablets, basic tech skills
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
