Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is seeking a full-time Tank Builder / Welder to join our nationwide team, with opportunities across the country, including Texas. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and collaboration as we design, fabricate, and repair above-ground storage tanks and related structures.

Ideal candidates will have welding experience and a willingness to learn, with strong communication and attendance.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and adapt.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent; eligible to work in the United States.
• Able to pass background checks and drug/alcohol testing.
• Valid driver's license and willing to have motor vehicle record checks.
• Welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc cutting and torch cutting, and gouging.
• Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, grinders and other power tools.
• Weld plate using 7018, 7024 and 6010 SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc methods.
• Use come-alongs, hydraulic jacks, hoists, air bags, winches and lifting equipment.
• Read detailed erection and fabrication drawings and plan welding sequences.
• Complete job safety analyses and site training.
• Collaborate with crew and follow directions to ensure quality work.
