Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is seeking a full-time Tank Builder / Welder for nationwide projects. The role involves arc cutting, gas welding, assembling above-ground tanks, and performing quality tests across multiple sites.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. We value safety, reliability, and a willingness to learn in a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Have great communication and organization skills.
• The ability to solve problems and suggest improvements to our systems.
• Have excellent attendance and show up to work on time every day.
• Willing to learn and adapt in a hands-on environment.
• Be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
• Be willing to authorize background checks.
• Have no criminal convictions for dishonesty, sexual misconduct, violence, or acts of terrorism.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Be willing to authorize motor vehicle driving record checks.
• Be willing to submit to pre-hire, random, and post-incident drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to weld is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Weld using appropriate processes (SMAW, FCAW, submerged arc).
• Operate lifting equipment and use power tools.
• Read detailed drawings and plan tank fitting, welding, and construction.
• Follow safety procedures and conduct job safety analyses.
