Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is seeking a full-time Tank Builder / Welder for nationwide projects. Join a team fabricating, repairing, and constructing above-ground metal storage tanks and related structures.

Work with welded tanks, bolted tanks, and geodesic domes, across a variety of industries. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, are at least 18, can lift 50 lbs, and can pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and drug testing.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass driving record checks.
• Experience in welding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, grinders, and other tools.
• Weld tanks using SMAW and FCAW processes and related equipment.
• Use lifting gear such as hoists, jacks, and come-alongs safely.
• Read and follow detailed drawings for tank fabrication and repair.
• Conduct safety trainings and adhere to job safety analyses.
