Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is seeking a full-time Tank Builder / Welder to join our nationwide team. You will weld, cut, and assemble above-ground storage tanks, operate power tools, follow drawings, and maintain safety standards on diverse projects across the country.

Candidates must have strong communication, organizational skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. A high school diploma or equivalent and eligibility to work in the United States are required;

Qualifications

• Must have great communication and organization skills.
• Ability to solve problems and suggest improvements to our systems.
• Be eligible to work in the United States and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Weld plate with 7018, 7024 and 6010 SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc machines.
• Use generators, compressors, tuggers, grinders, and other power/air tools.
• Operate lifting equipment and read detailed erection/fabrication drawings.
• Plan fitting, welding, repairing, and constructing tanks following safety procedures.
• Follow directions and collaborate professionally with crew members.
