Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is seeking a full-time Tank Builder / Welder to join our nationwide team. The role involves arc and torch cutting, welding of storage tanks, and operation of heavy lifting and safety equipment.

You will work across multiple states on diverse tank projects and must pass background and drug checks. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication and organization skills, and be eligible to work in the United States with a valid driver

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and maintain good attendance.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Willing to undergo background and drug testing.
• Eligible to work in the United States and have a valid drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders, and other tools.
• Weld plate with 7018, 7024 and 6010 SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc processes.
• Use come-alongs, hydraulic jacks, hoists, air bags, winches, and lifting equipment.
• Work with tank shell buggies, scaffolding, ladders, and related equipment.
• Perform nondestructive testing like vacuum box tests and dye penetrant tests.
• Wear safety equipment and follow safety protocols.
