Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern to support standard engineering tasks, assist lead engineers, and contribute to project duties across market segments. Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering with ABET accreditation preferred and have strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities include data entry, documentation, and creating PowerPoint presentations.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited program required.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn, ability to grow within the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns and research project questions.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
