Job summary

Burns & McDonnell seeks an Engineering Intern to support standard engineering tasks, design updates, and project support in the Transmission & Distribution group. You will assist with filing, data entry, documentation, and PowerPoint presentations, while learning to analyze data and present solutions.

The role requires pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree, ABET accreditation preferred, and a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from a recognized program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to the work.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active campus or community involvement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Demonstrated leadership and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Respond to general questions and support project tasks.
• Collect and analyze data for continuous improvement efforts.
• Present solutions to concerns and research project issues.
• Support ad hoc projects and assist managers as needed.
• Maintain compliance with policies and standards.
