Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in the US (CA, Brea) to support Transmission & Distribution projects. You will assist with design tasks, data analysis, and project duties under supervision, with a focus on learning and applying standard engineering techniques.

The role requires pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or related field, ABET accreditation preferred, and strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and Power Point presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in data collection and analysis for continuous improvement.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns and recommend improvements.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
