Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support standard engineering tasks, data entry, and documentation across market segments, including Transmission & Distribution. The role emphasizes growth, leadership, and active campus involvement.

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States and be enrolled in a related degree program. The internship offers exposure to design activities, project support, and continuous improvement tasks, with a full-time schedule

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in a related post-secondary program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active campus or community involvement preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to project concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
