Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Austin, TX to assist with standard engineering tasks, data entry, documentation, and presentations. The role supports Transmission & Distribution projects and offers exposure to multiple market segments.

Qualifications include pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, ABET accreditation preferred, and strong communication and analytical skills. Campus involvement and a GPA of 3.0+ are favored.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field from an accredited program required.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation, PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions.
• Participate in continuous improvement by collecting and analyzing data.
• Present solutions to concerns.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
