Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist with civil engineering tasks, data entry, design updates, and project support for transmission and distribution projects. You will work with lead engineers and prepare presentations and reports.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with ABET accreditation preferred, a minimum 3.0 GPA, strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Assist with responses to general questions and project inquiries.
• Participate in data collection and analysis for continuous improvement.
• Present solutions to project concerns and stakeholders.
• Research solutions to project issues; analyze and recommend actions.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
