Job summary

Impact Networking, LLC is seeking an TOC Systems Engineer within its Managed IT group under Service Operations. You will support client systems infrastructure and desktop computing, handling incidents, requests, and changes while collaborating with end users, internal teams, and vendors.

The role includes monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining server, storage, cloud, and application environments, plus documentation and lifecycle initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of IT support, help desk, systems administration, or technical operations.
• Foundational operational support experience and developing technical troubleshooting skills.
• Foundational knowledge of virtualization, server administration, cloud technologies, endpoint support, and networking concepts.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server, VMware/ESXi, Active Directory, DNS/IP routing, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Datto backup, endpoint management, and monitoring tools.
• ITIL familiarity is a plus.
• HaloPSA experience preferred.
• Proficiency with documentation management platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class customer support and technical assistance for Impact Networking customer environments.
• Handle server, workstation, application, backup, monitoring, and cloud-related incidents, change orders, and service requests by restoring service, resolving issues, documenting work, and closing cases per process.
• Monitor customer infrastructure, learn alert platforms, verify alerts, follow troubleshooting procedures, escalate complex issues.
• Follow procedures for customer notification, ticket updates, assignment, escalation, and closure.
• Provide professional technical interface with customers, internal teams, and vendors.
• Review customer requests and elevate advanced engineering concerns.
• Assist with backup, patch management, monitoring, and routine system admin tasks.
• Perform system configuration changes in response to client issues or service requests.
• Troubleshoot system and application issues using documented procedures and tools.
• Document work and track time in HaloPSA with notes and resolutions.
• Keep users informed of ticket status with clear communications.
• Build familiarity with client base and environments.
• Participate in training, mentorship, certifications to strengthen skills.
• Maintain technical expertise and certifications.
• Serve in after-hours on-call rotations for urgent incidents.
