Job summary

Impact Networking is seeking a TOC Network Engineer to join the Managed IT team under Service Operations. The role focuses on customer support for network issues, monitoring, triage, and collaboration with vendors to resolve level 2–4 incidents.

You will analyze core and LAN/WAN systems, design capacity augmentation, maintain diagrams, and plan changes to support client networks. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Solid operational support experience with advanced troubleshooting across networking technologies.
• Experience with Layer 2/3 environments, TCP/IP, VLANs, WANs, VPNs, WLANs, firewalls, and security practices.
• Experience with network performance, capacity planning, change management, and incident response.
• Familiarity with cloud networking, automation, documentation, and diagram creation.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (N-able RMM, HaloPSA) and ITIL/service management.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class customer support and technical assistance for Impact Networking environments.
• Manage network incidents through restoration, resolution, and closure with stakeholders.
• Monitor infrastructure, verify alerts, troubleshoot, and escalate as needed.
• Follow procedures for notifications, ticket updates, escalation, and closure.
• Document work, create diagrams, and maintain network documentation in IT systems.
