Job summary

Tsymmetry is seeking a Systems Administrator II (Deskside Support) to provide hands-on, in-person technical assistance to end users while managing hardware, software, and account issues in Washington, DC.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and four years of Microsoft systems support deskside experience, plus an active Secret clearance. Excellent communication and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Four years of Microsoft system support deskside hardware support.
• Active Secret Level Clearance required.
• Knowledge of operating systems, applications and hardware.
• Familiarity with trouble ticket systems such as ServiceNow.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to interact professionally within all levels of an organization.
• Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting.
• Information Technology related certification, i.e. A+ or similar.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot issues with hardware and software.
• Maintain desktops.
• Interact with end users to identify and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, servers or network connectivity.
• Provide phone support and direct user assistance for mobile devices and software, including Apple and Samsung.
• Open and log trouble tickets to track issues from identification through resolution.
• Manage consumables inventory.
• Communicate technical information in a non-technical manner.
• Assist users with video teleconferencing services.
• Other duties as assigned.
