Job summary

WOW! is seeking a System Technician to service and repair HFC networks in the field. You will troubleshoot, test signals, splice fiber, and restore outages while maintaining network equipment and ensuring safety.

This hands-on role combines technical work with direct customer interaction. The ideal candidate will have experience with HFC maintenance, the ability to explain concepts to customers, and enjoy working outdoors.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting/repairing in HFC networks is highly preferred.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.
• Enjoy working outdoors and staying active.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable learning technical skills and using tools.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair HFC networks.
• Test and optimize signal performance.
• Maintain key network equipment (nodes, fiber systems, power supplies).
• Perform fiber splicing and activation.
• Handle outages and support emergency restoration.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and system balancing.
• Identify signal leakage and ensure compliance.
• Support network expansion and serviceability.
• Deliver excellent customer service while representing WOW!.
