Job summary

WOW! is seeking a System Technician to keep our HFC network running in outdoor environments across the Potterville area. You’ll diagnose issues, perform fiber splicing, and ensure reliable service for homes and businesses.

This hands-on role requires comfort with ladders and outdoor work, a valid driver's license, and a proactive approach to safety and customer service. Training is provided with clear growth paths.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or troubleshooting in HFC networks.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.
• Comfort with outdoor work and active physical demands.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Flexible schedule; evenings/weekends/on-call rotation.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair HFC networks in the field.
• Test and optimize signal performance across the network.
• Maintain key network equipment (nodes, fiber systems, power supplies).
• Perform fiber splicing and activation when needed.
• Handle outages and support emergency restoration.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and system balancing.
• Identify signal leakage and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support network expansion and serviceability.
• Deliver excellent customer service while representing WOW!.
