Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Minnesota seeks a System Director, SOC Staffing & Scheduling to lead system-wide staffing design, optimization, and forecasting across hospitals. This role partners with clinical, operational, finance and IT leaders to translate enterprise strategy into scalable models and data-driven scheduling that improve labor performance and patient flow.

Qualifications

• MA/MS in business or health care-related field.
• 7 years progressive leadership in healthcare operations, workforce management, or staffing strategy.
• Experience with resource financial management and staffing leadership.
• Knowledge of evidence-based staffing models and infrastructure supporting front line involvement.
• Ability to manage large scope initiatives with gap analysis and assessment, planning, implementing and evaluation.
• Excellent organizational skills, and knowledge of clinical areas, needs and skills needed in each organizational department, computer, problem solving and excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of labor union contracts.
• Experience leading in a complex highly matrixed health system environment.
• Experience with rural healthcare operations.
• Background in healthcare finance, analytics, or performance improvement.
• Registered Nurse MN license

Responsibilities

• Operationalize system wide staffing strategies and predictive models.
• Integrate staffing with SOC workflows and patient flow operations.
• Lead labor productivity models, financial forecasts, and analytics.
• Collaborate with IT to optimize staffing technologies, dashboards, and tools.
• Develop and coach SOC staffing leaders and support change management.
• Engage stakeholders across SOC staffing and clinical leadership across sites.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to union contracts in staffing.
• Communicate clearly and manage conflicts within the organization.
