Job summary

UMB Bank is seeking a Portfolio Manager – Syndications to grow our Syndications platform. The role reports to the Manager of Loan Syndications and works with internal teams and external partners to advance syndicated deals.

You will prepare marketing materials, help structure transactions, manage waivers and amendments, review loan documents, and coordinate closings. Applicants should have five years of commercial credit analysis experience, solid Excel skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Five years of commercial credit analysis experience.
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
• Persuasive and concise verbal and writing skills for analytical documents.
• Demonstrated teamwork ability in multidisciplinary projects.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships within and outside of UMB.
• Ability to act independently and resourcefully.

Responsibilities

• Prepare marketing materials for syndicated deals (requires credit analysis).
• Assist with structuring syndicated transactions.
• Manage portfolio of existing syndicated deals, including waivers, consents and amendments for UMB-led deals.
• Help manage deal-related inquiries from external bank partners.
• Review and advise on loan documentation for syndicated transactions.
• Coordinate with Loan Administration for closings and ongoing draws for syndicated deals.
• Create a database of all UMB-Agented deals with ticklers for maturities and reporting items.
• Process and resolve inquiries from external bank partners on existing syndicated deals.
• Maintain contact management on third-party data site Debticate for syndicated deals and assist with calling efforts.
• Manage collection of reporting items for syndicated deals from internal deal teams and posting to Debticate.
• Engage with UMB Relationship Managers and other internal parties regarding syndicated transactions.
• Assist with internal reporting, internal education and market updates.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
