Job summary

UMB Financial Corporation seeks a Sr. Portfolio Manager to assist loan officers in managing complex commercial loan portfolios. This role focuses on credit underwriting, risk assessment, and client relationship growth across commercial banking clients.

You will analyze borrower financials, structure loans, prepare credit packages, and monitor covenants, with ongoing collaboration with loan officers and credit teams. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related fields.
• 5+ years commercial banking experience including credit underwriting.
• Current valid driver’s license.
• Demonstrates strong communication skills (verbal & written).
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of credit underwriting and bank products/services.

Responsibilities

• Partner with loan officers to administer management of assigned commercial banking relationships.
• Perform detailed credit analysis to determine repayment capacity and risk.
• Prepare credit packages for credit committee and underwriting documents.
• Monitor borrowing base and covenant compliance with regular reporting.
• Provide recurring customer service to clients and support joint sales calls.
