Job summary

UMB Bank in Denver, CO is seeking a Portfolio Manager – Syndications to support the growth of our Syndications platform. This role reports to the Manager of Loan Syndications and collaborates with the Transaction Manager and external partners on syndicated deals.

The ideal candidate has five years of commercial credit analysis experience, and strong Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to write clear analytical documents and build partnerships across teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Five years of Commercial credit analysis experience.
• Persuasive and concise verbal and writing skills to write clear analytical documents and adapt communication style.
• Demonstrated teamwork ability to contribute to multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships within and outside of UMB.
• Ability to act independently and resourcefully.

Responsibilities

• Prepare marketing materials for syndicated deals (requires credit analysis).
• Assist with structuring syndicated transactions.
• Manage portfolio of existing syndicated deals, including waiver, consent and amendment activity for existing UMB-led deals.
• Help manage deal-related inquiries from external bank partners.
• Review and advise on loan documentation for syndicated transactions.
• Coordinate with Loan Administration team for syndicated loan closings and ongoing draws for syndicated deals.
• Create a database of all UMB-Agented deals with ticklers for maturities and reporting items.
• Process and resolve inquiries and requests from external bank partners on existing syndicated deals.
• Maintain contact management on third-party data site Debticate for syndicated deals and assist with ongoing calling efforts.
• Manage collection of reporting items for syndicated deals from internal deal teams and posting to Debticate.
• Engage with UMB Relationship Managers and other internal parties as it relates to syndicated transactions.
• Assist with internal reporting, internal education and market updates.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
