Job summary

Eaton is currently seeking a Switchboard Bus Assembler on 1st Shift to join our Sumter, SC facility. This role works Monday through Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm, assembling metal bus bars and components from blueprints and BOMs. The compensation starts at $16.25/hr based on knowledge, experience, or training.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be able to read drawings, and measure with tape measures or calipers. Cross-training and adherence to safety and 5S practices are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with measuring devices and reading drawings.
• Ability to follow manufacturing instructions and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble metal bus bars and components from drawings and BOMs.
• Measure and install materials using hand tools and tape measures.
• Identify part shortages and maintain production progress.
• Support process improvements and root-cause analysis for quality issues.
• Perform visual inspections and ensure safety and 5S compliance.
