Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Switchboard Bus Assembler for the 1st shift in Sumter, SC. You will assemble metal bus bars and components from diagrams, using hand tools and a tape measure to ensure precise assembly and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The role requires blueprints reading ability, 5S practices, and teamwork to meet productivity goals; HS diploma or GED preferred, with US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex assembly operations using drawings or diagrams.
• Experience with measuring devices (tape measure, calipers).
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams or manufacturing drawings.
• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• No relocation benefit is offered; candidates must reside within the Sumter, SC area.

Responsibilities

• Assemble metal bus bars and other switchboard components from diagrams and blueprints.
• Use hand tools and tape measure to measure and install material per procedures.
• Monitor progress, identify part shortages, and communicate issues.
• Identify quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvements.
• Perform quality inspections and maintain safety and 5S practices.
• Cross-train and stand in for other roles as needed.
