Job summary

Reworld in Avon Lake, OH is hiring an Operations Manager to oversee the local Material Processing Facility, including wastewater treatment, solid waste processing, and shredding. You will report to the Director of Operations and drive profitability, safety, and regulatory compliance while leading a team.

You will develop team capabilities, manage budgets and KPIs, coordinate with other locations, and partner with local authorities to ensure audits and reporting are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 5 years' experience supervising and leading high-performing teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Background in wastewater treatment, lab analysis, and regulatory requirements preferred.
• Knowledge of hazardous, non-hazardous, universal waste and solid waste transfer facilities is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Avon Lake facility operations including wastewater treatment and shredding.
• Lead and mentor facility staff; ensure profitability and safety.
• Coordinate with corporate and divisional leaders; drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure preventative maintenance and audit readiness.
• Monitor budgets, reports, and performance; identify cost reductions and improvements.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and reporting with local authorities.
