Job summary

Reworld Waste in Avon Lake, OH is seeking an entry-level Waste Process Technician I to safely perform foundational processing tasks. You will move inbound loads, verify containers, and operate shredding and sorting steps with a general mechanical understanding of waste processing equipment.

You will support inventory, use scanners and software to track materials, and comply with safety and environmental regulations. Competitive benefits accompany a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have a Valid Driver’s License
• Must exercise good judgement and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and time management.
• Must be computer proficient and able to operate with Microsoft Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Understand basic facility permit requirements and conduct daily activities to support all safety and compliance requirements.
• Operate a variety of equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, and other power tools in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA requirements.
• Ability to move, operate, and back in a yard dog tractor.
• Administratively process inbound material / inventory using inventory tracking software and handheld scanners.
• Able to off load inbound packages, liquid trucks, and containers.
• De-pack materials from original manufacturers packaging and sorting contents for disposal according to disposal plan.
• General cleaning of facility and grounds.
• Other duties as assigned.
