Job summary

Reworld Projects is seeking an Operations Manager for the Avon Lake, Ohio facility, overseeing wastewater treatment, solid waste processing, and shredding. You will lead site teams, optimize profitability, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will drive continuous improvement, manage budgets, and coordinate with corporate and regional leaders to meet performance goals and growth targets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent; Bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience supervising and leading high-performing teams.
• Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an elite workplace quality, performance, appearance, and effectiveness.
• Lead, coordinate, train, and direct plant employees on initiatives from corporate and divisional leaders.
• Coordinate operations including receiving/shipping, processing materials, and lab discharge compliance.
• Ensure preventative maintenance obligations are met and audit readiness is maintained.
• Collaborate with other locations and support sales, operations, and clients as needed.
• Work with authorities to ensure regulatory compliance and timely reporting.
• Analyze budgets, sales, and performance data to identify cost reductions and improvements.
• Mentor staff and guide facility growth and objectives.
• Pursue unidentified growth opportunities with feasible methods and solutions.

About the Role

The Operations Manager is responsible for all localized activities of the Avon Lake, OH Material Processing Facility including but not limited to wastewater treatment, solid waste processing, and shredding. Reporting directly to our Director of Operations, this role is accountable for the profitability and efficiency of all facility operations while maintaining a safe work site and complying with regulatory agencies and permits. Expected to provide strong leadership to employees within the facility driving profitable growth thru continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop maintain, and promote an elite workplace quality, performance, appearance, and effectiveness.
• Set clear expectations, lead, a coordinate, train, and direct plant employees on initiatives from Corporate and Divisional leaders.
• Coordinate and communicate all phases of operations including receiving and shipping loads, processing materials, and laboratory discharge compliance.
• Ensuring all preventative maintenance obligations are consistently met and ensure that the facility is audit ready.
• Coordinate with our other locations daily to provide support to our sales team, operations, and the needs of our clients.
• Work with local authorities and agencies to ensure compliance while completing and submitting required reports as needed.
• Analyze facility budget requests, sales, and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement while identifying areas in which cost reductions and program improvements can be made.
• Successfully manage employee performance while mentoring and guiding the overall growth of the facility.
• Assist in pursuing all unidentified facility growth opportunities and develop methods and solutions that make them feasible.

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED required. Bachelors degree preferred.
• At least 5 years' experience supervising and leading high performing teams
• Extensive leadership and team building skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
• Ability to analyze information and suggest improvements.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and time management skills.
• Background in wastewater treatment, laboratory analysis, regulatory requirements is preferred.
• Some knowledge of hazardous, non-hazardous, universal waste, and solid waste transfer facility is beneficial.

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $91,200.00 - $121,400.00 USD per annum
