Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Construction Project Manager within our Sustainability Infrastructure Building - Solutions & Technologies group. You will oversee retrofit projects, manage costs, schedule, and safety programs while building strong client and subcontractor relationships.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years PM experience in building construction, travel flexibility, and proficiency in PM software and MS Office to deliver projects on time, within budget and scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture with 5+ years of project management experience.
• Experience managing HVAC, Controls/BAS, Lighting, and Renewable Energy projects preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to communicate technical material to non-technical audience.
• Willingness to travel; projects may be outside geography.
• Proficient in project management software and financial accounting systems.
• Strong PC skills: MS Office, Adobe/Nitro, Teams, and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Self-performs cost estimating, scheduling, and construction management of projects.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget execution and proper billing.
• Maintain customer and subcontractor relationships and safety program.
• Provide monthly project financial status reports and forecasts.
• Develop and adhere to a Project Execution Plan.
• Maintain profitability and positive cash flow.
• Establish long-term customer and contractor relationships.
