Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Construction Project Manager in the Sustainability Infrastructure Building Solutions & Technologies group. The role focuses on construction management, schedule adherence, budget control, and change management for assigned projects in the Tempe area.

Responsibilities include cost estimating, scheduling, managing profitability, and maintaining strong customer and subcontractor relationships.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of direct project management experience in Building Construction.
Experience with HVAC controls, BAS, Fire and Security systems is desired.
Strong verbal and written communication; able to explain technical material to non-technical audiences.
Willingness to travel; projects may be outside geography.
Proficient in MS Project and financial accounting systems.

Responsibilities

Self-performs cost estimating, project scheduling and construction management of assigned projects.
Establishes and maintains a project execution plan for each assigned project.
Maintains profitability goals and positive cash flow.
Communicates project status and monthly forecasts to leadership.
Fosters relationships with customers and subcontractors; ensures compliance and ethics.
