Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Construction Project Manager for our Sustainability Infrastructure Building - Solutions & Technologies division in the Los Angeles area. You will oversee retrofit projects, control costs, manage safety, and drive profitability while maintaining client and subcontractor relationships.

Required are a relevant Bachelor's degree and at least five years of project management experience in building construction, with travel as needed and proficiency in project management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of direct project management experience in the Building Construction Industry.
• Experience with HVAC, Controls/BAS, Lighting, and Renewable Energy systems is desired.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel to project sites as required.
• Proficiency in project management software and financial accounting systems.
• Strong PC skills in MS Office, Adobe/Nitro, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Self-performs cost estimating, scheduling, and construction management of assigned projects.
• Manage profitable execution of projects to meet schedule, budget, and scope.
• Ensure projects are billed on time and within contract terms.
• Develop and maintain customer and subcontractor relationships and provide monthly financial status updates.
• Establish a Project Execution Plan and maintain customer touch points throughout the life cycle.
• Lead safety programs and ensure compliance with applicable laws and Johnson Controls standards.
• Collaborate with internal Systems, Service and Lighting partners and subcontractors.
