Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to ensure smooth fulfillment of contracts after design. The role requires coordinating HVAC/mechanical systems with commercial construction, strong verbal and written communication, and frequent site travel.

The construction manager leads the team on-site during heavy work and collaborates with administrative staff, engineers, and the design team.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC/mechanical systems and commercial construction, with strong communication skills.
• On-site construction management experience and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel to job sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings for scope, constructability, and cost savings.
• Develop construction schedule and manage subs to hit milestones.
• Develop Project Safety Binder and review with subcontractors.
• Administer Safety Program and develop Subcontractor Contracts.
• Coordinate with vendors to submit and order equipment.
• Lead construction review meetings and document weekly field reports.
• Assist with commissioning and address M&V items during construction.
• Review Subcontractor Pay Applications and track project financials.
• Schedule factory start-ups and ensure startup sheets are completed.
• Owner training and development of O&M manuals and as-builts.
• Address project issues and warranty items post-construction.
