Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, a leading engineering firm in sustainable, high-performance building systems, seeks a Construction Manager. The role emphasizes on-site leadership during heavy construction, coordinating with engineers, design teams, and subcontractors to meet project milestones and safety standards.

A successful candidate will bring strong communication skills and experience with HVAC/mechanical systems and commercial construction.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC/mechanical systems and commercial construction.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• On-site management during heavy construction; may work remotely during other periods.

Responsibilities

• Review Project Drawings for Scope, Constructability, and Cost Savings.
• Assist with Subcontractor Selection; manage Bid Process and RFPs.
• Review Contract along with M&V requirements.
• Develop construction schedule and manage subs to hit milestones.
• Develop Project Safety Binder and review with subcontractors.
• Administer Safety Program; develop Subcontractor Contracts.
• Coordinate with Vendors on equipment submittals, order, and lead times.
• Lead Construction Review Meetings; document Weekly Field Reports.
• Assist with Commissioning efforts and address M&V items during construction.
• Review Subcontractor Pay Applications; track project financials.
• Schedule factory start-ups and ensure start-up sheets are completed for warranties.
• Prepare Owner training coordination and punch lists.
• Address post-construction issues and warranty items; develop O&M manuals and As-Builts.
