sbe Lifestyle Hospitality's Katsuya in San Diego seeks a skilled Sushi Cook to prepare ingredients and assemble dishes per recipes, maintain high hygiene standards, and stay organized in a fast-paced setting.

You will cut, fillet fish, ensure quality, manage inventory, and collaborate with wait staff to accommodate special requests and allergies, while upholding food safety and precise presentation.

Formación

• Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience in a high-end, service-focused environment.
• ANSI approved Food Handler Card and Responsible Beverage Service certificate recognized by the ABC.

Responsabilidades

• Expertly cut, slice, and fillet different types of fish.
• Prepare various types of sushi dishes according to guidelines on quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety.
• Maintain a clean work environment to prevent food contamination.
• Regularly take inventory of food supplies and other products.
• Report problems with kitchen equipment to the manager on duty.
• Sterilize all utensils, instruments, and equipment used in sushi preparation before each use.
• Communicate with wait staff to ensure special requests and allergy considerations are met.
• Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Maintain a sense of urgency in completing responsibilities and tasks.
