Job summary

Carle Health is hiring a Surgical Technician to support the perioperative team under the direct supervision of the RN. The role includes scrubbing basic procedures, maintaining a sterile field, and assisting in patient preparation and turnover.

Sign-on bonus and relocation bonus are available. The position requires the ability to collaborate with surgeons and OR staff to ensure proper trays, instrumentation, and supplies for each procedure.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in Surgical Technology.
• Licensure or certification as applicable with BLS within 30 days.
• Ability to scrub basic surgical procedures and assist in perioperative care.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile environment and aseptic technique.
• Assists with supplies, instruments, and room turnover to ensure efficiency.
• Communicates with nursing and surgical team to coordinate tests and procedures.
• Documents patient data and orders as directed by RN and unit standards.
• Coordinates with surgeons and OR team to prepare trays and instrumentation.
