Baylor Scott & White Health in Round Rock, TX is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to support the operating room team. This PRN Days position works under a Registered Nurse's supervision, ensuring the OR is safe and ready with properly functioning instruments.

You will scrub in, prepare sites, maintain instrument tables, and assist with draping, counts, and specimen handling. Strong infection control knowledge and CST certification preferred; flexibility and teamwork are essential.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Less than 1 year of experience.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• CST certification by NBSTSA/NCCT required.
• Military/Public Health Service ST training preferred.
• Prior health-care facility employment before 9/1/2009 is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Scrub into surgery and prepare instruments before incision.
• Prepare and maintain the instrument table and trays; ensure accurate counts.
• Assist with draping and positioning; pass sterile supplies to the team.
• Ensure proper functioning of instruments and equipment during procedures.
• Perform surgical counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments per policy.
• Maintain sterile technique and follow infection control guidelines.
