The Baylor Scott & White Health Surgical Technologist II in Round Rock, TX supports the operating room team under RN supervision. You prepare instruments, maintain sterile technique, and ensure equipment is ready for each case.

Competenze

• Grad of an Accredited Program.
• Experience: Less than 1 Year in surgical tech.
• Certification: CST (NBSTSA/NCCT) preferred or required.
• BLS certification required.
• Military/Public Health Service ST training or prior practice accepted.

Mansioni

• Scrub into surgery in time to prepare instruments before the surgeon scrubs in.
• Prepare and maintain the instrument table in an organized way.
• Ensure proper functioning of surgical instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Perform surgical counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments.
• Assist with draping and positioning the patient.
• Receive surgical specimens following protocol.
• Disassemble instruments and manage decontamination/disposal as needed.
• Follow infection control policies and regulatory guidelines.
