Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of an approved Surgical Technology program.
• BLS certification is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and informs the circulating nurse throughout procedures.
• Maintains high standards of quality and cost containment in the OR.
• Assembles supplies, equipment, and medications prior to procedures.
• Supports satisfaction initiatives and maintains professional relationships with staff and physicians.
• Monitors aseptic technique and corrects breaks in technique immediately.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and policies; assists with training new personnel.
