Job summary

UNC Health Nash is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room and ambulatory settings. You will participate in sterile technique, case preparation, and patient care across age groups under nursing leadership.

The role requires graduation from a Surgical Technology program and NBSTSA/NCCT certification, plus BLS. Experience ladder includes Senior Technologist levels with 3–5 years of practice. Work is onsite, day shift, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Surgical Technology program.
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification.
• BLS certification.
• 3 years of clinical practice for Senior Surgical Technologist-A; 5 years for Senior Surgical Technologist-B.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain sterile field and assure team maintains sterile environment independently.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
• Apply intermediate knowledge of instrumentation to several cases.
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff members and physicians.
