Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking a surgical technologist to provide sterile technique in the operating room under supervision of perioperative staff. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience and will participate in case planning and instrumentation setup in a compliant, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Certification: Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire.
• Medical Technician - NH Board of Registration of Medical Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Plans for surgical procedures by assembling instrumentation, equipment, and necessary supplies.
• Maintains the integrity of the sterile field by utilizing knowledge of aseptic technique.
• Assists surgeon and physician assistant with activities at the sterile field.
• Participates and engages in center activities.
• Functions as a leader for the surgical team.
• Performs sterilization of equipment.
• Assists with maintaining a clean and safe surgical environment.
• Pro-actively plans and participates in requirements for surgical case.
• Helps to contain supply costs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
