Qualifications

• Knowledge of aseptic/sterile technique and surgical instrumentation.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and laws at various jurisdictions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and work with the surgical team.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and keeps the circulating nurse informed throughout a procedure.
• Maintains high standards and quality in facilitating cost savings and containment.
• Assembles all necessary supplies, equipment, and medications prior to the procedure.
• Supports customer and employee satisfaction activities; maintains relationships with physicians and staff; responds to complaints promptly.
• Monitors aseptic technique and takes corrective action for breaks in technique.
