AtlantiCare is hiring an Operating Room Technician to assist the surgical team as a scrub/instrument person during procedures. The role requires passing instruments, maintaining counts, and helping position patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

It emphasizes confidentiality, professionalism, and teamwork within the perioperative care team. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and be a certified surgical technologist or have an eligible

Competenze

• High School degree or equivalent; ability to read, speak, and write English.
• Successful completion of a nationally or regionally accredited educational program for surgical technologist and holds and maintains a certified surgical technologist credential or equivalent; or evidence of military/training program in surgical technology; or grandfathering evidence as of 2011.

Mansioni

• Assist the surgical team as a scrub/instrument person during procedures.
• Pass sponges, instruments and sutures; maintain counts for sponges, needles, and instruments.
• Move and position patients as directed; adjust operating room lights; clean and prepare the OR.
• Deliver direct patient care with confidentiality and professional conduct.
