Atlantic Health System is seeking a dedicated operating room scrub role to support nursing staff in delivering quality patient care. You will perform scrub duties, prepare rooms, and assist in transferring patients to recovery while maintaining sterile technique.

Responsibilities include instrument handling, passing tools to the surgical team, and ensuring accurate counts and clean, organized setups for each case.

Qualifications

• Assists in providing quality patient care in the operating room.
• Performs scrub duties and passes instruments to the surgical team.
• Maintains sterile technique and accurate instrument counts.
• Prepares rooms and equipment and helps with transfers.

Responsibilities

• Checks and gathers all instruments for each case in the assigned room with the surgeon's preference card.
• Verifies sterility tapes, dates, and wrapper integrity.
• Opens sterile supplies, maintains a sterile field, and corrects breaks in technique.
• Performs surgical scrub techniques and gowning/gloving for self and team.
• Arranges instruments and supplies for accurate count after procedures.
• Assists circulating nurses with counts of sponges, needles, and other devices.
• Uses devices properly and follows standard draping techniques.
• Passes instruments to the surgical team safely and efficiently.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
