Job summary

Atlantic Health in Morristown, NJ seeks a skilled Surgical Scrub Tech to support operating room teams, maintain sterile technique, and assist in patient transfers to recovery. You will prepare instruments, manage supplies, and help ensure accurate counts after procedures.

The role requires completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program, NBSTSA/NCCT certification, and BLS. Prior hospital scrub experience is preferred, with willingness to work in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or related field preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program required.
• Certification through NCCT or NBSTSA required.
• 1-2 years of Scrub Tech experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing personnel in the operating room to provide quality patient care.
• Performs scrub tech duties under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assists in obtaining supplies and opening operating rooms as needed.
• Prepares instruments for sterilization and maintains a sterile field.
• Transfers patients to recovery and restocks the operating room.
• Notes instrument counts with accuracy and ensures sterile technique.
