Job summary

AtlantiCare is seeking a Cardio Surgical Technician for the Operating Room Mainland. You will support the cardiac surgical team as a scrub/instrument person, prepare sterile setup, manage counts, and assist surgeons and perfusionists during complex procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, English proficiency, and a certified surgical technologist credential or completion of a recognized program. Expect full-time day shifts in a hospital setting with 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent; ability to read, speak, and write English.
• Completion of a surgical technologist program or NBSTSA credential.
• Evidence of practice in a health care facility as a surgical technologist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiac surgical team as scrub/instrument person during procedures.
• Prepare sterile setup, pass sponges, instruments and sutures; adjust lights and maintain counts.
• Position patient and support Cardiac surgeon, Cardiac PA, and perfusionist as needed; maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.
