AtlantiCare is seeking an Operating Room Technician to assist the surgical team as a scrub/instrument person. Responsibilities include preparing sterile fields, passing sponges and instruments, and maintaining counts during procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma, an accredited surgical tech program or recognized credential, and BLS/CPR certification. Candidates should be able to position patients and work professionally within Perioperative Services.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; able to read, speak, and write English.
• Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program; or valid NBSTSA credential or equivalent.
• Experience in surgical settings preferred; grandfathering provisions may apply.
• BLS/CPR certification required on hire or transfer.

Responsabilités

• Assist the surgical team as scrub/instrument person during procedures.
• Prepare sterile field, pass sponges, instruments and sutures.
• Move and position patient as directed; maintain accurate counts.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
