UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist the surgical team as a scrub tech in the operating room. The role supports patient care from pre-op to post-op, handling sterile instruments and maintaining a safe surgical environment.

Responsibilities include preparing OR for cases, passing instruments, and ensuring aseptic technique while supporting the circulator and team. A BLS credential and accredited training are required for hire.

Competenze

• Successful completion of an accredited school of surgical technology and required certification.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification every two years.
• All Surgical Technologist Certified employees will have obtained the credential administered by a recognized certifying body.

Mansioni

• Assist surgical teams during operative procedures as scrub tech.
• Prepare operating room, instrument pans, and draping according to procedures.
• Pass instruments and supplies; maintain sterile field and assist in turnover of operating rooms.
