Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operative team in the Operating Room. Under RN circulator supervision, you will scrub for procedures, prepare sterile setups, and ensure instrument readiness.

Ideal candidates have accredited surgical technology training, obtain certification within 12 months, and demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique and patient care. This role includes day shift with on-call requirements and potential signing bonus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program and certification within 12 months of graduation.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Lean Six Sigma White belt is a plus and encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in the scrub role for assigned cases.
• Prepares OR for cases; checks instrument pans and supplies.
• Responds to surgeon needs and assists the operative team during cases.
• Passes instruments/sutures and tracks supplies.
• Assists with turnover of operating rooms and maintains sterile field.
