Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operative procedures as a scrub tech and to prepare sterile setups for cases. You will assist in patient positioning, instrument passing, and turnover of operating rooms.

The role requires CST certification, BLS, and the ability to collaborate with the OR team. This is a full-time on-site position with potential signing bonus and a schedule including evening hours.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited surgical technology program.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification as of hire.
• Maintain BLS certification every two years.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical teams during operative procedures in scrub role.
• Prepare and inventory sterile setup and instruments for operations.
• Prepare and drape patient and operative area; pass instruments to surgeons.
• Assist in turnover of operating rooms and ensure proper aseptic technique.
• Monitor instruments and supplies; maintain accurate counts during cases.
