UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Operating Room in Worcester, MA. This full-time, day-shift role covers 40 hours weekly with a 06:45–17:15 schedule under RN supervision, focusing on sterile technique, instrument handling, and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited school of surgical technology and certification.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification every two years.
• Maintain AST membership and required educational units.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for physicians in assigned service area, preparing the OR for cases and ensuring sterile setup.
• Passes instruments, sutures, sponges and supplies during procedures and tracks items used.
• Assists in preparing moving and positioning patients and in case turnover within the Operating Room.
